DTF most commonly refers to Direct-to-Film, a modern, versatile printing technology that prints designs onto special PET films for transfer onto fabrics like cotton and polyester. The process involves printing, applying adhesive powder, curing, and heat-pressing, known for high quality, vibrant colors, and durability on various materials.

Direct to Garment is a technology that sprays eco-friendly ink directly onto fabric (usually cotton) using specialized inkjet printers, allowing for high-quality, full-color, and intricate, detailed designs. It is ideal for small-batch or on-demand, custom apparel production.

Embroidery is the ancient art of decorating fabric with decorative stitching using a needle and thread. Historically a symbol of wealth, it is now a popular hobby and industrial process used to embellish clothing, home decor, and gifts.

Sublimation is the direct transition of a substance from solid to gas, skipping the liquid phase, often driven by heat. Common examples include dry ice turning into vapor and specialized dye-sublimation printing. In printing, high heat and pressure convert specialized ink into a gas that bonds permanently with polyester, creating durable, vibrant, and fade-resistant designs on fabrics and coatings.

Other Branding Options Include

Screen printing, or silkscreening, is a versatile, durable printing technique that forces ink through a stenciled mesh screen onto materials like textiles, paper, wood, or metal. A squeegee moves ink across a screen—using a stencil to block non-image areas—creating bold, lasting designs on items like T-shirts, posters, and signage.

Heat transfer vinyl (HTV) is a specialized polyurethane film used to customize fabrics, garments, and, in some cases, hard surfaces like wood or leather. It is cut into designs, weeded, and applied using a heat press or household iron (ideally at 140–150°C for 8–12 seconds), featuring strong, washable, and flexible adhesive properties.

Silicone transfers are a premium, 3D, and durable branding method that uses molded, raised silicone to create tactile, flexible, and detailed designs on apparel and headwear. Ideal for performance gear and sportswear, they offer a soft matte finish, high-end look, and excellent stretchability.
